What is a consignment?
This is when you leave your items with us and we sell them for you. We are agents for the sale of your home furnishings and you continue to own them until the sale is made. We have a contract that spells everything out clearly so you'll know just what to expect from us.
What pieces are we looking for?
Contemporary, eclectic, or unique styles. Certain items will always be in the highest demand so we are always on the lookout for:
- Sofas
- Sectionals
- Loveseats
- Upholstered Chairs & Ottomans
- Dining tables with chairs
- Buffets and china cabinets
- Table and floor lamps
- Beds and bed headboards (we don't sell used mattresses)
- Dressers
We have a particular fancy for:
- Bookcases
- Quality art and framed prints
- Floor screens
- Mid-Century Furniture
What condition are we looking for?
We only sell high quality, gently used items, so this is what we look for in our consignments. We like to see:
- Quality manufacturing
- Items from a smoke-free environment
- Clean and in good to excellent condition (free of stains, pet hair, etc.)
How do I consign?
- We need to see if the piece(s) are something we can market and sell for you. You can:
- Bring the piece to us anytime we're open, but it's good to call us first at (360) 570-0165 so we know when to expect you.
- Bring in a photograph or e-mail a photograph to us
- Call us and schedule a visit when we can come see the furniture. We don't have enough staff to do this for one item, but if you have several pieces we will try to accommodate your needs.
- If the items are something we think we can sell, we can assist you in setting the sale price. As a rule of thumb, the best items sell for 50% of what they did new.
- We will both sign a contract for our sale of the items. The contract spells out exactly what we will do for you and how much you should expect to receive when your pieces sell. You can then bring the items to our store or we can schedule a time to come pick them up.
