As always, the health and safety of our customers and our staff is of paramount importance. We are fully supportive of the social distancing efforts underway to slow the spread of the virus. For the past several weeks, we have been doing a daily sanitizing of surfaces.
Fortunately, with 6000 square feet of retail space, we currently believe that we can maintain the 6 foot distance between people as recommended by CDC. Hand sanitizer and a bathroom to wash your hands is available and we encourage you to use them. Our staff is regularly using both. Beginning today, we will be limiting to no more than 10 customers in the store at any time. With these measures in place, we hope to remain open.
This is our plan as of Monday morning, 3/16/20. However, we also recognize that it is still early in the pandemic and that things can change quickly. If necessity causes us to temporarily close our doors, we will post a notice on Facebook, on our website and with sign on the door. If you are planning on visiting Furniture Works, we recommend you call first to ensure that we are open. For those who have consigned with us, we will extend the time limits in our agreements by however long we are closed.
We are immensely grateful to those of you who have bought furniture in the last several weeks.
Like you, we are taking the current situation a day at a time. We can get past this. This, too, shall pass.
